Jeremy Gatzemeyer has commit's to Men's Basketball
Jeremy Gatezemeyer has officially committed to Trinity Bible College to play men's basketball for the upcoming 2025-26 season! Gatzemeyer is a 6 '6 forward from McDonald, Kansas. Gatzemeyer has just graduated from Cookson Hills Christian School. During his time at Cookson, Jeremy put up impressive stats, leading the league in points per game at 27.6, and grabbing 16.2 rebounds per game. On the defensive end of the floor, Jeremey proved to be a great rim protector, averaging 4.5 blocks per game! Jeremy was also named to the HCCAA All-State team 2 years in a row!
When asked why he chose Trinity Bible College, Jeremy stated: "Trinity is a place I feel God has called me to be. My teachers at Cookson helped guide me and lead me to make this decision possible through the grace of God. Trinity will help me grow in my character, and become a better, leading Christ-centered basketball player!".
Trinity is an institution that emphasizes a Christ-centered approach with the goal of developing character, personal growth, and athletic excellence within a Christian context for our athletes. Jeremey fits into that approach perfectly!
In the words of Head Coach Jordan Nowell: "I couldn't be happier to add Jeremy to the team for next season! Jeremy's length is a definite plus, but his faith and Christian walk are going to shine through during his time at Trinity. At 6'6", his size will give us something we are missing. He can also shoot 3's and moves really well defensively. His shot blocking and rebounding are going to have an immediate impact on this team. His high school averages jump off the page (27.6 ppg, 16.2 rpg, and 4.5 bpg) and I can't wait to see how that translates to the college level. He's a great kid who is going to work extremely hard on his craft! He is the ideal "Trinity fit" for us and I can't wait for the next 4 years of having him on campus!"
We are excited to see Jeremy on campus and on the court this fall!
