Theodore Thurber Receives All-Region Award for Outstanding Cross Country Performance
Theodore Thurber, a dedicated cross country athlete, has made waves this fall with his remarkable performances, culminating in an All-Region award for his outstanding 5th place finish at the NCCAA North & Midwest Regional Cross Country Meet. His impressive finish secured his place among the top athletes in the region and is a testament to his hard work and determination throughout the season.
This fall, Thurber has achieved personal bests in both the 8K and 6K distances. His 8K time of 29:20 and 6K time of 20:58 highlight his growing speed and endurance, showcasing his improvement with each race. These accomplishments set him up for an exciting run at the upcoming NCCAA National Championship in Warsaw, Indiana, on Saturday, November 15th, hosted by Grace College and Bethel University.
Earlier this season, Thurber was recognized for his exceptional achievements by being named the NCCAA Student-Athlete of the Week in early September. This honor was a reflection of his commitment to both athletics and academics, and it paved the way for the success he's continued to achieve.
As Thurber prepares for the NCCAA National Championship, his strong regional finish and personal records give him confidence and momentum. The upcoming race will mark another step in what has already been an outstanding season for the All-Region honoree.
