Yadir Rivera Commits to Men’s Soccer!
Yadir Rivera has officially committed to men's soccer for the upcoming 2025 season! Yadir comes to Trinity from Global Outreach Charter Academy in Jacksonville, FL. Yadir brings versatility to the Lions roster as he is capable of playing right back, center back, and left back! Furthermore, Rivera brings strong Christian values and academic standards that align well with our school's mission as an institution! During his high school career, Rivera played 4 years of varsity soccer and won a U-19 United Soccer Alliance championship! He was also a part of a team that took 2nd place in the Miami Enigma Cup.
What makes this signing even more exciting is Yadir coming alongside fellow GOCA teammate Joseph Aguilar! Head Coach Daniel Hawker emphasized the significance of adding two players who already share on-field chemistry. Adding Yadir and Joseph together will bring another layer of cohesion to the defensive side of the field!
When asked why he chose Trinity, Yadir had this to say: "Trinity's strong sense of community and passion for a Christ-based lifestyle."
In the words of Head Coach Daniel Hawker: "Yadir is another great addition to the squad. His experience of playing in a variety of positions gives us options. This experience and his ability to read the game will continue to improve our defensive capabilities. Yadir is a great guy! He's outgoing, friendly and clearly passionate about the game of soccer. His energy and positive attitude will be a great addition to our team's culture."
We are excited to see Yadir on campus and on the soccer field this fall!
