Savannah Gaskin Commits to Trinity Bible College
Savannah Gaskin, a standout point guard from Highlands High School, has officially committed to continue her basketball journey at Trinity Bible College. At 5 '6", Gaskin brings court vision, leadership, and relentless energy to the floor — all qualities that made her a pivotal part of Highlands' recent success. Gaskin, a San Antonio native, leaves behind an impressive high school legacy. As a key leader for Highlands, she helped guide her team to a co-district championship and a bi-district championship. Her individual efforts didn't go unnoticed, earning her 1st Team All-District honors — a testament to her leadership, court vision, and tireless work ethic.
Reflecting on her decision to commit to Trinity, Gaskin shared, "I chose Trinity because in a time where I was in doubt about what college I should commit to, the moment I prayed to God about it, Coach Rachael called me. After we got off the phone I no longer had any doubt and I knew what college I wanted to go to."
Gaskin's faith-driven decision and passion for the game align closely with Trinity Bible College's values and mission. As she transitions to the collegiate level, Trinity gains not only a dynamic point guard but a strong leader with heart and conviction.
Trinity Bible College looks forward to welcoming Savannah Gaskin to the court as she brings her skills, spirit, and determination to the next chapter of her basketball career.
Women's basketball Head Coach Rachael Nowell had this to say when about Gaskin: "Adding Savannah to the basketball team this fall will be outstanding! She brings a well-rounded level of guard play to the court. Savannah's ability to take contact, get to the hoop, and see the court will be a strong benefit to the Lions this season. I'm excited for Savannah's defensive game as well. She's tenacious, athletic, and will work hard! Thank you, Savannah, for choosing Trinity! We could not be more excited to be your next step in your athletic and academic career!"
