Men's Basketball Signs Lachlan Moutsias!
Trinity Bible College is excited to announce the commitment of Lachlan Moutsias, a 6'6" Power Forward/Center, who will transfer from Minnesota North Hibbing Community College to join the Trinity Lions for the upcoming season. This move marks a significant milestone in Moutsias's basketball career and brings promising new talent to the team.
Moutsias has impressive individual accolades such as the 2024 MCAC ALL-Academic Team, Team Certificate of Graduation, Basketball Victoria Sports Development Program 2022, and Values Certificate of Empathy 2022. During his time at Hibbing Community College, Lachlan shot an impressive 60.9% from the field, averaging 8.2ppg and 4.5rpg. Over the past season, he showcased his ability to dominate in the paint, contribute defensively, and provide a strong offensive presence. His versatility as both a power forward and center has made him a valuable asset to his previous team, and these attributes are expected to make a significant impact at Trinity Bible College.
When asked why he chose Trinity Bible College, Lachlan said, "I wanted to continue my basketball journey and continue to develop my skills while on the court. Having the opportunity to play college basketball in America is a dream come true!"
Head Coach Jordan Nowell Had this to say about Lachlan, "I'm so excited to have Lachlan on the team this year! He had to put in a lot of effort to get here and I can't wait to see that pay off. He's exactly what this team needed to add; a big, strong athlete that can score with his back to the basket. He had a tremendous freshman year at a JUCO, where he shot a little over 60% from the field. His stature, rebounding and skill set really will give us a chance to compete with larger schools. Lachlan is a hard-worker that is only getting better as we get closer to the season. I've really enjoyed getting to know him and I am excited to see what this year has in store for him."
