Women's Volleyball Preview!
As fall semester begins, the Trinity Bible College Women's Volleyball Team is preparing to make a powerful impact on the court. With a roster that blends a wealth of returning talent with promising new additions, expectations are high for what is shaping up to be an exciting season.
The team is bolstered by the return of several key players from last year's squad, including standout performers like First Team All-Region selection Abigail Molan and All-Region Honorable Mention Selection Marylssa Ledgerwood. Their leadership and skill will be pivotal as Trinity Bible College looks to build on their previous success. Also returning are integral contributors Paige Flores, Morgan Carlson, Alcista Dion,Grace Janich, and Emoni Holmes—each of whom brings a unique strength to the team.
The influx of new talent is equally noteworthy. Setter Kaija Gusso, Middle Hitter Jenna LaDuke and Charlana Bauman join the roster, poised to make significant impacts. Their arrival injects fresh energy and skill into the team, complementing the established core.
Head Coach SaraLi Twigg is enthusiastic about the upcoming season. "I feel like there is a lot of excitement surrounding this upcoming season. We are returning most of our athletes from last year and have brought in some excellent new athletes as well! After only finishing our first week of practices, I can already tell that this is a special group that God has brought together. I believe the talent we have has the potential to reach a level of volleyball that Trinity hasn't seen in many years. Not only that, but this group of ladies has that combination of pure competitiveness and a deep desire to serve God that we love to see here at Trinity Bible College. I fully expect this group to be able to compete well at high levels, and I look forward to seeing all the ways these ladies glorify God through the sport that they love."
Team captain Abigail Molan echoes Coach Twigg's sentiments. "With volleyball officially underway, it's safe to say I'm really excited to see how this year's season will unfold. Although we did lose two very vital seniors last year, I've noticed each player's competitive drive and ability to step up when they are needed most. The talent on this team is very evident and I'm excited to get on the court and see what's in store for us this season."
And in the words of Team Captain Morgan Carlson " "We had a wonderful week of practices, weight room and team bonding events last week! Everyone brings something unique and important to our team and we are so blessed by each player. We have so much talent and skill level this year that I feel that we can make it far in the playoffs this season. I'm excited to see our team grow in all areas but most importantly in our faith and in our friendships!"
