Lions Basketball Signs Ty Messner
Lions land proven PG from Kansas
Ty Messner has decided to sign with Trinity Bible College; this makes him the third member of this recruiting cycle. Messner comes to Trinity from Tyro Christian Community School; he is a 5'10" guard who will add another dimension to the Lions basketball team.
Ty has a long list of accolades; as he has been KCAA 1A All-Tournament 2nd Team 16-17, KCAA All-League 1st team in 17-18, KCAA 1A Tournament MVP 1A 17-18, HCAA All-State Selection 17-18, and he was apart of the 17 and 18 KCAA State Championship teams. Ty had this to say about why he choose TBC, "Trinity offers magnificent programs that align with personal and experienced faculty to ensure I fulfill my own calling for the lord."
Coach Nowell had this to add about the addition of Ty, "I'm excited to add a player of Ty's caliber to the team! He visited last fall and stepped right in and showed that he has the skills necessary to excel at the college level! I'm excited for the person that Ty is. He's shown tremendous leadership, maturity and faith as I have gotten to know him over the last year. Excited to see Ty grow and develop over the next four years."
Ty joins Ellendale stand out Austin Molan, and Saint Jo dual sport athlete Preston Lyons in recruiting class.
