Logan Klitzke Breaks 3-Point Record
On Sunday evening, January 19th, the Lions men's basketball team achieved two fantastic accomplishments. First of all, the men's team was able to pull off a nail-biter win, beating Providence University College 81-80. A huge component to making this win possible was Logan Klitzke. The junior for the Lions has always been a strong asset for the team, but this game was exceptional.
Klitzke shot an impressive 73% from the 3-point line. He finished the game scoring on 11 of his 15 3-point shot attempts. This statistic earned Klitzke the Trinity Bible College Lions school record for the most 3-point shots made in a single game. Previously, the record was held by four Lions athletes- Jarret Grant, Vaughn Jordan, Tobin Johnson, and Jaden Shockley- all having scored 9 3-point shots in a game.
Coach Nowell was extremely proud of his athlete. "Logan's shot was incredible that night! He's always been a good shooter in his time here, but Sunday night was awesome! We weren't sure how many he had actually until after the game though. His teammates did a great job in finding the hot hand and getting him open looks. Quite the accomplishment!"
