Lady Lions Volleyball Signs Layce Kooima
The Trinity Bible College volleyball team is excited to add Layce Kooima to the roster for the Fall of 2020! Layce, a senior from Castlewood, SD, completed her official signing on January 3, 2020. She is planning to major in Youth Ministry while attending Trinity Bible College & Graduate School. Layce is a setter who will be bringing in several years of varsity volleyball experience along with leadership experience. She has led as a Captain on her team for 2 years and has received the All-Conference Player Award for both the Dakota Valley Conference and the Lake Central Conference (2 years).
When asked why she chose Trinity Bible College, Layce responded by saying, "I chose Trinity because I love the atmosphere there. Everyone is so willing to lend a helping hand. I love how they put your relationship with Christ first, then learning. I also love the fact that I get to play volleyball there as well. I can't wait to see what God leads me to at Trinity!"
Coach Petersen had this to say about the addition of Layce to the TBC volleyball team, "In the short time I've gotten to know Layce, I can already tell that she is an extremely special student-athlete. She has great work ethic and discipline that is evident in both her athletics and her academics. As an athlete, she is very quick which will be a great asset to our defense and will allow us to quicken our offense. Layce also has a very solid character, which I feel very blessed to add to the team. She leads by example, is an encouraging teammate, and is a spiritual leader. I am very excited to welcome Layce to the Lions' volleyball team and am looking forward to seeing her positive influence at TBC."
