
Men's Lions vs Sisseton Wahpeton College
The Lions' men fell to defending NIAC champs by 9 at home in a tale of two halves.
In the first half, no team was able to take a lead greater than two possessions. The Lions shot the ball very well as they were above 50% from the field and 40% from behind the arc. Two Lions were in double digits as Logan Klitzke had 16 points and was perfect from the floor, and Khalil Bolden had 15 points. The Lions went into the locker room with a 3 point lead at 46-43.
The second half saw a change of fortunes as the Mustangs came out of the gates using a 19-7 run to take a 65-53 lead, which they would not squander. Every time the Lions chipped into the Mustangs lead, the Mustangs would answer for the whole of the second half. The Lions got the lead down to 7 on three separate occasions late in the game but could not get that number lower. The final score of the game was Sisseton Wahpeton-105, the Lions-96.
The Lions ended with four athletes in double digits. Khalil Bolden led the team with 30 points, and Logan Klitzke had 24. Austin Molan and Parker Stemen both posted double-doubles. Molan earned 20 points and 10 rebounds while also leading the Lions with 6 assists. Stemen finished the game with 13 points and 12 rebounds.
