Lions Volleyball and Basketball Sign Morgan Carlson
The Lions women's volleyball and basketball teams are excited to announce the signing of Morgan Carlson for the 2021-2022 season. Carlson is a 5'7" dual-sport athlete who is coming to Trinity Bible College from Blaine, Minnesota. She is graduating from Concordia Academy and will be studying Exercise Science during her time at TBC.
Carlson will be bringing great experience and talent to both the volleyball program and basketball program. She has Lettered 1 year in volleyball and 3 years in basketball, and also received Honorable Mention for All-Conference in basketball. Carlson's athletic skills and experience will prove to be great assets for the Lions women's sports.
When asked why she chose to attend Trinity Bible College, Carlson responded, "I was looking for a small Christian college that had a family feel to it and would be a good place to grow my faith. I feel like Trinity is all that. I'm also excited about the Exercise Science program as my major, and I'm looking forward to playing basketball and volleyball."
The head women's basketball coach, Rachael Nowell, had this to say about Morgan's commitment to the Lions, "It was a pleasure to have Morgan and her parents on campus this weekend! She fit in great with our team, and I am excited to have her join the Lions basketball team next fall. Morgan played for a great high school team in Minnesota that lost this year in the state qualifying game. Morgan works hard and knows the game of basketball, but is also a tremendous fit for our college and program! I'm very thankful to have been able to hear her story of how God opened the doors to bring her to Trinity! We are excited to be apart of her future!"
In the words of Coach Petersen, head volleyball coach, "I am so excited to welcome Morgan to the Lions volleyball program! It is difficult to find an athlete who is committed to her sport, academics, and living a life led by Christ, and Morgan is that exact type of person. I can't wait to see what she accomplishes as an athlete here at TBC, but I am most looking forward to seeing the impact that she has on this program through her Godly character and leadership! I know there are great things in store for her this coming year, and I am so grateful that we get to be apart of it!"
