Women's Basketball and Volleyball Sign Heidi Hernandez
The Trinity Bible College Lions volleyball and basketball teams are excited to announce their newest dual sport recruit. Heidi Hernandez is a middle blocker (volleyball) and guard/post (basketball) from Moscow, Kansas. She received her high school education from Hugton High School. While attending Trinity Bible College, Hernandez plans to major in International Entrepreneurship.
Hernandez will be a great addition to the Lady Lions teams because of her wide variety of athletic experience. During her high school career, she has received several track & field metals, along with being a leader on the basketball team and captain for the volleyball team. Her experience and athleticism will prove to be very positive assets for the Lions 2020-2021 teams.
When asked why she chose to attend TBC, Hernandez replied, "I chose Trinity Bible College because I absolutely loved how campus was and all the great opportunities. I truly believe this was my calling from God."
Coach Petersen (volleyball) had this to say about her new recruit, "I am so excited to welcome Heidi to the volleyball team! I can already see that she has a positive and determined attitude, and her volleyball skills will be a great addition to this team. I can't wait to see her in action on the court throughout this year!"
In the words of Coach Rachael Nowell (basketball), "It was awesome to finally get to meet Heidi and her family! I have no doubt she will be a great fit for Trinity! It's always a joy to coach an athlete that's willing to work hard on and off the court! We are excited to welcome you to the Lions family Heidi!"
