Triumph in Minnesota: Trinity Bible College Lions Conquer NIAC Tournament
In a thrilling display of athleticism and skill, the men's basketball team of Trinity Bible College emerged victorious in the NIAC tournament held in Plymouth, MN. Facing formidable opponents the Lions showcased their grit on the court, clinching the championship title with sheer determination and teamwork.
Their journey to triumph commenced on February 24th, as they clashed with Turtle Mountain Community College. In a testament to their resilience and grit, the Lions secured a hard-fought victory with a final score of 93-87, propelling them into the championship match the following day.
Undeterred by the challenges ahead, Trinity Bible College faced off against Providence University College on February 25th, hungry for victory. With unwavering focus and unwavering determination, the Lions dominated the court, leaving no room for doubt as they claimed a resounding win with a commanding score of 97-69.
Throughout the weekend, the men's team delivered stellar performances, earning praise from fans and coaches alike. Coach Nowell was proud of his team's exceptional display and teamwork till the final second.

Marcellus Mencarini, a standout performer, showcased his scoring ability with an impressive 54 points and 17 assists, while Quincy Wilson's impeccable free throw shooting, going 15-15 from the line, proved crucial in securing victories. Micah Christensen's double-double performance, with 21 points and 10 rebounds, further underscored the team's depth and talent, alongside Elijah Guerrero's impactful contribution of 21 points.
In addition to their collective triumph, several players were honored for their outstanding performances.
