
Double Victory and Heartfelt Celebrations: Trinity Bible College Shines on Parent Senior Night
Trinity Bible College witnessed a thrilling showcase of athleticism and team spirit as it hosted a series of basketball games against Free Lutheran Bible College on January 26 and 27, 2024.
The weekend not only showcased the endurance of Trinity Bible College's basketball teams but also served as a momentous occasion to honor the dedication and contributions of the senior players and their parents. As part of the festivities, the women's team celebrated Parent Senior Night, a heartwarming recognition of the commitment and support shown by the parents throughout their daughters' basketball journeys.
In the first two games, Trinity Bible College's women's team showcased exceptional skill and determination, securing decisive victories against the Conquerors with scores of 96-37 and 77-36, respectively. The standout performances of key players propelled the team to success, with statistics reflecting their outstanding contributions.
Brenna Anderson led the charge with an impressive total of 40 points and 8 assists, demonstrating her creativity and leadership on the court. Kayleigh Mannering contributed significantly with 39 total points, while Marlyssa Ledgerwood showcased her intensity with 25 points and an impressive 15 rebounds. Rachel De Campos exhibited defensive quickness, amassing a total of 13 steals throughout the weekend.
The women's team's cohesive play and unwavering energy throughout both games were instrumental in securing victory and thrilling the supportive crowd in attendance.
Following suit, Trinity Bible College's men's team delivered a commanding performance, clinching victories over the Conquerers with final scores of 94-47 and 95-48. The team's dynamic gameplay and adaptability were evident as they maintained control and composure on the court.
Marcellus Mencarini emerged as a standout player for the men's team, amassing an impressive total of 49 points and 11 steals, showcasing both offensive and defensive capabilities. Micah Christensen contributed significantly with 42 points, while Elijah Guerrero's sharpshooting from beyond the arc, going 4-6 in three-pointers, added another dimension to the team's offense. Damien Walters Jr.'s defensive presence was felt with 6 blocks and 23 rebounds, while Sam Wilson facilitated the offense with 11 assists.
The collective effort and teamwork displayed by both Trinity Bible College's men's and women's teams underscored their dedication to excellence and set the stage for continued success in the remainder of the season.
