Mannering's Monumental 1500: Trinity Lions Roar to Victory
In a captivating showdown on February 13th, the Trinity Bible College Lions competed with the Minnesota State Community and Technical College Spartans. The game, which unfolded with nail-biting intensity, culminated in a last-second victory for the Lions, with a final score reading 47-43 in their favor.
The proudest moment of the game was a remarkable milestone achieved by Kayleigh Mannering. Throughout the game, Mannering's intense offense was evident as she netted an impressive 19 points while also securing the ball 5 times for her teammates.
Reflecting on Mannering's milestone achievement, Coach Nowell expressed her admiration and appreciation for her relentless dedication and hard work:
"I absolutely cherish every chance we get to celebrate a milestone our athletes reach," said Coach Nowell. "Sometimes from the outside looking in, scoring points seem easy; but what we fail to account for is the countless hours of work an athlete puts in outside of practice to achieve this level of greatness. Thank you, Kayleigh, for putting in the time, for pushing through in hard times and chasing goals. We celebrate your dedication to the game of basketball in reaching the big 1500!!! Congratulations!"
The Lions are on the road this weekend to Kansas City for their matchup against Kansas City Christian.
Way to go Lions!
