Lions WBB Wins Big on Senior Night

Women’s Basketball Results Trinity Bible College Lions vs. Oak Hills Christian College Wolfpack Senior Night January 27th, 2017 (Ray Ulmer Fieldhouse, Ellendale, ND) SCORE Trinity Bible College defeated Oak Hills Christian College 78-54.

HOW IT HAPPENED 

The Wolfpack jumped out to a quick 5 to 0 lead in the opening minutes of the 1st quarter.

The Lions however answered the bell and finished the 1st quarter outscoring the Wolfpack 30 to 10.

The Lions continued to push their lead in the 2nd quarter and put the game out of reach.

The Lions led at halftime 47 to 19.

The 2nd half saw the Lions continue to play well and the Wolfpack matched their intensity outscoring the Lions 35 to 31.

The Lions beat the Wolfpack 78 to 54.

NOTES

- The Lions shot 41 percent from the field (38/82), 23 percent on 3's (6/26) and 66 percent on FT's (4/6).

- The Wolfpack shot 28 percent from the field (20/70), 46 percent on 3's (6/13) and 66 percent on FT's (8/12).

-The Lions had 16 offensive rebounds to the Wolfpack 18.

-The Lions had 7 turnovers to the Wolfpack 20.

-Following the game the Lions honored their two seniors Jaylen Newman and Rebecca Olsson.

-Jaylen Newman led the Lions with 27 points and 9 rebounds. She also passed Rachael Nowell (2020) and now holds the Lions WBB record for most points scored in a career!

-Shaylyn Steinheuser added 16 points and 8 rebounds.

-Senior Rebecca Olsson added 12 points and freshman Brynn Crockett added 13 points.
