Newman Named NCCAA Student-Athlete of the Week for 2nd Time
Congrats to Jaylen Newman for being named NCCAA Student Athlete of the Week!
Jaylen Newman led Trinity Bible College to a 1-1 week, including a big 70-60 win over North Central University. The senior from Velva, North Dakota scored 18 points and grabbed 7 rebounds in the loss against NAIA opponent Dakota State University. Newman then went on to notch her 3rd double-double of the season with 33 points on 72% shooting and 15 rebounds. Newman is averaging 25 points while shooting 45% from the field and 78% from the free throw line, 13.5 rebounds, and 4 blocks per game.
