Lions MBB Advances to NIAC Conference Championship Game

Men’s Basketball Results Trinity Bible College Lions @ NIAC Conference Tournament Semi-Final February 17th, 2017 (Oak Hills Christian College, Bemidji, MN) SCORE #1 Trinity Bible College Lions defeated #3 Cankdeska Cikana Community College Wolves 101-85.

HOW IT HAPPENED 

The Lions were tested early in their semi-final match up against the #5 Wolves.

The Wolves were up 19 to 12 halfway through the 1st half, behind a good shooting start.

The Wolves took a 49 to 40 lead into halftime.

The 2nd half saw the Lions come out on fire, using a 15 to 6 run in the 1st three minutes to erase their 9 point halftime deficit.

The Lions then used another big run to put the game out of reach.   

The Lions went on to beat the Wolves 101 to 85 to advance to the NIAC Conference Tournament Championship.

NOTES

- The Lions shot 50 percent from the field (38/76), 35 percent on 3's (14/39) and 50 percent on FT's (11/22).

- The Wolves shot 41 percent from the field (32/78), 28 percent on 3's (7/25) and 73 percent on FT's (14/19).

-The Lions had 13 offensive rebounds to the Wolves 14.

-The Lions had 25 Turnovers to the Wolves 24.

-Jaden Shockley led the Lions with 28 points on 8 for 17 shooting on threes and 10 for 20 from the field.  

-Aaron Stemen added 21 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists.  

-Friscoe Erdahl pitched in 17 points on 6 for 10 shooting.

-Korey Harris added 12 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists, while Tash Williams had 10 points and 6 rebounds.
