Lions MBB Takes Home NIAC Conference Championship

HOW IT HAPPENED
It was all Lions in the NIAC Conference Championship game as they looked to defeat the only team that gave them a loss in the NIA regular season.
The Lions used a 14 to 5 run to open the game in the 1st three minutes. They then used a 19 to 6 run to push the lead even more.
The Lions took a 53 to 37 lead into halftime.
The 2nd half saw the Lions outscore the Conquerors by 10 points as the Lions continued to shoot well from the field.
The Lions went on to beat the Conquerors 98 to 72 to win their 4th NIAC Conference Tournament Championship.

- The Lions shot 50 percent from the field (36/72), 52 percent on 3's (12/23) and 82 percent on FT's (14/17).
- The Conquerors shot 33 percent from the field (27/80), 18 percent on 3's (6/33) and 70 percent on FT's (12/17).
-The Lions had 12 offensive rebounds to the Conquerors 19.
-The Lions had 28 turnovers to the Conquerors 17.
-Jamal Williams led the Lions with 23 points, 8 steals, 6 assists and 5 rebounds.
-Jaden Shockley had another big shooting night scoring 18 points on 4 for 4 shooting on threes and 7 for 8 from the field.
-Aaron Stemen added 14 points on 5 for 8 from the field.
-Friscoe Erdahl pitched in 11 points on 3 for 5 on threes.
- Tash Williams had 19 points and 5 rebounds.
-Head Coach Jordan Nowell was named NIAC Conference Coach of the Year.
-Senior Aaron Stemen was named NIAC Conference Most Valuable Player.
-Senior Friscoe Erdahl and Sophomore Jamal Williams were both named to the NIAC All-Conference Team.
-Senior Jaden Shockley was named NIAC All-Conference Honorable Mention.
