Lions Fall 94-91 in a Thriller
Men’s Basketball Results Trinity Bible College Lions vs. Dakota College at Bottineau November 22nd, 2016 (Ray Ulmer Fieldhouse, Ellendale, ND) SCORE Dakota College at Bottineau defeated Trinity Bible College 94-91.
HOW IT HAPPENED
It was a shootout from the opening tip between the Lions and Lumberjacks.
The Lumberjacks jumped out to an early 14 to 7 lead just 4 minutes into the game, however the Lumberjacks used a 14 to 7 run of their own to tie the game up at 21 to 21 with 12 minutes left in the 1st half.
The two teams traded leads and ties the rest of the 1st half.
The Lions took the lead into halftime 51 to 50.
The Lions came out of halftime with some sloppy plays as the Lumberjacks would use a 11 to 4 run to take a 61 to 55 lead just 4 minutes into the 2nd half.
The two teams again were back and forth for the rest of the 2nd half.
The Lions Jamal Williams hit a big 3 pointer to tie the game as the Lions were down 88 to 91 with just over a minute to play in the game.
The Lumberjacks drove with under 10 seconds to play and were fouled, they converted the 1st free throw and missed the 2nd, however they were able to grab the rebound and make the put back to take a 94 to 91 lead with just over 2 seconds remaining.
The Lions Aaron Stemen was able to get a contested 3 pointer off as time expired but it was no good.
The Lions fell to the Lumberjacks 94 to 91.

-Jamal Williams recorded his 1st career double-double with a career high 38 points and career high 10 steals. Williams was 11 for 28 from the field, 3 of 4 on 3's and 13 for 18 on free throws.
-Aaron Stemen added 17 points and 4 rebounds.
-Josh Bauska added a season high 15 points on 5 for 10 shooting off the bench of the Lions.
