WBB #2 Lady Lions fall in the Semi-Final Game
Women’s Basketball Results Trinity Bible College Lions @ NIAC Conference Tournament NIAC Conference Quarter-Final Game February 16th, 2018 (Cankdeska Cikana Community College, Ft. Totten, ND) SCORE #3 Canadian Mennonite University defeated #2 Trinity Bible College Lions 69 to 53.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Lions looked strong and had their eyes on the Championship game with #3 CMU standing in their way.
The Lions and Blazers started off neck and neck as the end of the first quarter came to a close the two teams were tied at 11; however, with two minutes left the Blazers were able to go on a 7-0 run. This brought us to the end of the first 18 to 11.
The Blazers would use that momentum in the second quarter and would keep rolling out scoring the Lady Lions by 9 in the second.
The Blazers led at halftime 39 to 23.
The 3rd quarter both teams fought hard and would go back and forth on scoring as the Lions would try to regain the lead.
The Lions were out sized which made rebounding difficult and helped the Blazers maintain a 16 point lead.
The Blazers defeated the Lions 69 to 53 to advance to the NIAC Conference Tournament Championship.

- The Lions shot 29 percent from the field (14/49), 50 percent on 3's (3/6) and 79 percent on FT's (22/28).
- The Blazers shot 41 percent from the field (30/72), 17 percent on 3's (3/18) and 40 percent on FT's (6/15).
-The Lions had 10 offensive rebounds to the Blazers 17.
-The Lions had 25 turnovers to the Blazers 12.
-Emma Logan led the Lions with 22 points and 13 rebounds..
-Shaylyn Steinheuser added 13 points and 7 rebounds.
-Chambre Droste recorded a double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds.
-Sophomores Emma Logan and Shaylyn Steinheuser were named to the NIAC All-Conference Team.
-Sophomore Brynn Crockett was named NIAC All-Conference Honorable Mention.
