Lady Lions Advance to the Semi-Finals

HOW IT HAPPENED 

The Lions and Lakers were locked in a back and forth affair from the start.

The Lions were able to grab a 5 point lead after the 1^st quarter, but the Lady Lakers responded in the 2^nd quarter outscoring the Lions by 6.

The Lakers led at halftime 27 to 26.

The 3^rd quarter was another dead locked battle as the Lady Lakers nearly matched point for point with the Lady Lions.

The Lions were able to tie the game at the end of the 3^rd and were ready for the 4^th quarter fight.

The Lions were reared up and ready to go as they showed why they were the 2^nd seed in the tournament in the 4th.

The Lions out scored their opponent 25 to 15 and would get the double digit win advancing them to the semi-final match-up against #3 CMU.

- The Lions shot 33 percent from the field (20/59), 41 percent on 3's (5/12) and 90 percent on FT's (18/20).

- The Lakers shot 39 percent from the field (22/56), 18 percent on 3's (3/16) and 67 percent on FT's (6/9).

-The Lions had 16 offensive rebounds to the Lakers 19.

-The Lions had 23 turnovers to the Lakers 22.

-Emma Logan led the Lions with a double-double 23 points and 10 rebounds, to go along with 6 assists and 6 steals.

-Shaylyn Steinheuser had 22 points, 9 steals, 6 rebounds and 4 assists.

-Shaylyn Steinheuser added 15 points and 7 rebounds.

 -Sophomore Emma Logan and Shaylyn Steinheuser were both named to the NIAC All-Conference team .

-Sophomore Brynn Crockett who has been out with an injury was named as an All-Conference Honorable Mention
