Lady Lions Advance to the Semi-Finals
Women’s Basketball Results Trinity Bible College Lions @ NIAC Conference Tournament NIAC Conference Quarter-Final Game February 15th, 2018 (Cankdeska Cikana Community College, Ft. Totten, ND) SCORE #2 Trinity Bible College Lions defeated #7 Leech Lake Tribal College Lakers 63 to 53.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Lions and Lakers were locked in a back and forth affair from the start.
The Lions were able to grab a 5 point lead after the 1st quarter, but the Lady Lakers responded in the 2nd quarter outscoring the Lions by 6.
The Lakers led at halftime 27 to 26.
The 3rd quarter was another dead locked battle as the Lady Lakers nearly matched point for point with the Lady Lions.
The Lions were able to tie the game at the end of the 3rd and were ready for the 4th quarter fight.
The Lions were reared up and ready to go as they showed why they were the 2nd seed in the tournament in the 4th.
The Lions out scored their opponent 25 to 15 and would get the double digit win advancing them to the semi-final match-up against #3 CMU.

-Shaylyn Steinheuser added 15 points and 7 rebounds.
-Sophomore Emma Logan and Shaylyn Steinheuser were both named to the NIAC All-Conference team .
-Sophomore Brynn Crockett who has been out with an injury was named as an All-Conference Honorable Mention
