The 2023-2024 Basketball Season has been kicked off with 4 Straight Wins
The Trinity Bible College basketball seasons have officially begun and it is already on to a good start.
The women's team from Trinity Bible College made a resounding statement in their first basketball game, facing off against Emmaus Bible College in Dubuque, Iowa. The final scores were 57-48 and 68-50 which reflected Trinity's tenacity and skill on the court.
Several standout performances defined Trinity's success. Stacia West accumulated an impressive 43 points in the two games combined. This stellar performance not only propelled her team to victory but also marked a personal milestone as she reached her 2,000th career point during the first game. This achievement placed West in the annals of Trinity history, making her the third woman ever to attain such a feat.
Brenna Anderson and Kayleigh Mannering also demonstrated their athleticism contributing 27 and 25 points respectively over the two games.
Contributions from Victoria Wilson and Madeline Berkey were equally vital, as they chipped in with 15 points each, showcasing the depth of the Trinity women's team.
Rebounding played a crucial role in Trinity's success. The women's team collectively secured an astounding total of 59 rebounds over the course of the two games. This domination on the boards not only limited second-chance opportunities for their opponents but also provided Trinity with extra possessions, a factor that proved decisive in their victories.
The men's team from Trinity Bible College also made their debut on the basketball court against Emmaus Bible College. While they faced a challenging opponent, their determination and teamwork were evident throughout the games.

Marcellus Mencarini emerged as a standout player for the men's team, amassing an astonishing 63 points over the weekend. Quincy Wilson and Micah Christensen also showcased their skills, contributing 26 and 20 points respectively, providing crucial offensive support for the team.
Rebounding proved to be a crucial factor in the men's success, with Ben Bialik and Marcellus Mencarini leading the charge. Bialik's total of 20 rebounds, combined with Mencarini's 19, contributed significantly to the team's impressive total of 89 rebounds over the weekend.
