Newman Named NCCAA Student-Athlete of the Week for a 4th Time
Congratulations to Senior Jaylen Newman on being named NCCAA DII Women's Basketball Student-Athlete of the Week for a 4th time this season!
Senior Jaylen Newman continued her career year for Trinity Bible College as she averaged 20.7 points and 12.7 rebounds per game on the Lions' 1-2 week. The Velva, North Dakota native scored 21 points and grabbed a season high 20 rebounds in a 76-46 Northern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference win over Candeska Cikana. Newman is averaging a double-double on the season with 23.5 points and 11.5 rebounds per game, while shooting 43% from the field and 83% from the free throw line.
