Lions Go 0-2 on OKC

Jan 7^th -

The Lady Lions were matched up in the 1^st day of the Hudiberg Classic against the #2 ranked team in the NCCAA Arlington Baptist. The Lady Lions entered the game ranked #7 in the NCCAA.

The match up between 2 top 10 teams proved to be an exciting one in the opening quarter as the teams traded leads throughout.

The Lady Lions and the Patriots were tied 16 to 16 after the 1^st quarter.

The 2^nd quarter was all Patriots as their defensive pressure was too much for the Lady Lions to handle.

The Lady Lions went into halftime down 45 to 25.

The Lady Lions continued to fight to get back into the game however the Patriots were able to continue pushing their lead in the 3^rd quarter as they outscored the Lady Lions 33 to 23.

The Patriots took a 78 to 48 lead into the 4^th quarter.

The 4^th quarter was the same as the 3^rd, as the Lady Lions fought to get back into it the Patriots continued their pressure and pushed the lead.

The Lady Lions fell to the Patriots 111 to 72.

Jan. 8^th –

The Lady Lions were matched up on the 2^nd day of the Hudiberg Classic against Rhema Bible College.

The Lady Lions fell behind early and were down 14 to 9 after the 1^st quarter.

The 2^nd quarter had the same feeling as the first as Rhema again would out score the Lady Lions 14 to 9.

The Lady Lions went into halftime down 28 to 18.

The Lady Lions began to battle back in the 3^rd quarter as they outscored Rhema 16 to 14 but only cut 2 points into Rhema's lead.

The Lady Lions were down 42 to 34 heading into the 4^th quarter.

Rhema continued to try to hold off the Lady Lions come back in the final quarter. The Lady Lions we unable to come back from the early lead Rhema built.

The Lady Lions fell to Rhema 55 to 49.

Jan. 7^th vs. Arlington Baptist College 

- The Lady Lions shot 47 percent from the field (27/57), 61 percent on 3's (8/13) and 66 percent on FT's (10/15).

- The Patriots shot 42 percent from the field (43/103), 37 percent on 3's (15/40) and 66 percent on FT's (4/6).

-Janae Droste and SaraLi Petersen led the Lady Lions both scoring 18 points.

-Jaylen Newman added a double double with 14 points and 13 rebounds. 

-Rebecca Olsson added 14 points on 4 for 5 on 3's. 

-The Lady Lions had 8 offensive rebounds but were out rebounded by the Patriots 59 to 39.

Jan. 8^th vs. Rhema Bible College

- The Lady Lions shot 32 percent from the field (17/52), 16 percent on 3's (3/18) and 80 percent on FT's (12/15).

- Rhema shot 34 percent from the field (18/52), 23 percent on 3's (3/13) and 66 percent on FT's (16/24).

-Janae Droste led the Lady Lions scoring with 16 points. She added 8 rebounds and 6 assists.

-Jaylen Newman added another double double with 15 points and 10 rebounds. 

-The Lady Lions had 10 offensive rebounds but were out rebounded by Rhema 37 to 36.
