HOW IT HAPPENED
The Lady Lions got out to a fast start in the 1st quarter against the Saints as they scored 19 points. The Saints were held to just 14 points in the opening quarter.
The Lady Lions had a 19 to 14 lead after the 1st quarter.
A big 2nd quarter helped the Lady Lions build a good halftime lead. The Lady Lions outscored the Saints 21 to 13 and took a 13 point lead into the second half.
The Lady Lions led at halftime 40 to 27.
The 3rd quarter saw the Saints begin to cut into the Lady Lions 13 point lead. The Saints outscored the Lady Lions 19 to 15 in the quarter.
The Lady Lions took a 55 to 46 lead into the 4th quarter.
The Saints fought in the 4th quarter to erase the Lady Lions 9 point lead but only could cut into the Lady Lions lead by 4 points.
The Lady Lions held on to beat the Saints 71 to 67.
