Alison Kanniard (Scottsbluff, NE) is the lone sophomore for the Lions and she is joined by freshmen Shaylyn Steinheuser (Tulare, SD), Lakota Loomis (Trenton, ND), Kristyl Reese (Williston, ND), Rachel Church (Helena, MT) and Brynn Crockett (Langdon, ND). The Lions finished 7th at the NCCAA National Tournament last season and 19-13 on the year.
Head Coach Rachael Nowell, "Coming off of a National Tournament appearance and a conference championship last year, we hope to use that and build on an even better finish this up-coming season. Replacing five seniors will be very difficult but having two very capable seniors and a lot of fresh faces this year will bring a new energy to the program."
The Lions open their 2016-2017 season at home on Friday, November 4th at 6pm against NIAC Conference opponent Association Free Lutheran Bible School.
