HOW IT HAPPENED
Jan. 19th -
-The Lions looked confident in the beginning when going up against #2 ranked team in the NIAC the Providence Pilots.
-A back and forth1st quarter left the Lions only down by one point at the end of it, 19 to 20.
-The Lions fought hard in the 2nd staying close with the Pilots despite the ball pressure put on the Lions' guards.
-Halftime score Lions 40 Pilots 49
-The Pilots would extend their lead due to the relentless pressure, going into the 4th with a sizable 16 point lead.
-The Pilots were able to force 27 turnovers from the Lions and this would be enough to keep the game out of reach.
-The Lions would bring the game back within 10 but that was as close as they got as the Pilots win 95 to 70.
Jan. 20th –
-Day two of the double-header the Lions seem ready for the challenge right off the bat as they go up three quickly.
-End of 1st quarter Lions 16 Pilots 13
-In the 2nd the Lions seemed to handle the pressure of the Pilots more easily as they kept a steady lead going into halftime.
-The Lions were up 5 at halftime 36 to 31.
-The Lions come out of halftime looking to end the game fast as they jump to a 14 point lead.
-The Pilots weren't done yet as a full court press caused the Lions to scramble and accumulate turnovers.
-The Lions weathered the storm and were able to come out on top with a tremendous group effort.
-The Lions beat the PUC Pilots 89-81.

Jan. 19th -
- The Lions shot 38 percent from the field (26/68), 42 percent on 3's (8/19) and 67 percent on FT's (10/15).
- PUC shot 42 percent from the field (33/78), 44 percent on 3's (12/27) and 68 percent on FT's (17/25).
-The Lions had 4 players in double figures, led by Parker Stemen with 18 points, Tash Williams adds on to that a double-double with 17 points and 10 rebounds.
-Logan Klitzke and Josh Bauska both add 11 points of their own.
-The Lions had 13 offensive rebounds while PUC had 14; Lions won the rebounding battle 47 to 44.
Jan. 20th –
- The Lions shot 50 percent from the field (33/65), 32 percent on 3's (8/25) and 68 percent on FT's (15/22).
- PUC shot 39 percent from the field (32/81), 26 percent on 3's (4/15) and 62 percent on FT's (13/21).
-The Lions had 5 players in double figures led by Freshman Logan Klitzke who had 24 points and 8 rebounds.
-Parker Stemen added 20 points followed by Tash Williams with 16 and Josh Bauska with 15.
-Zach Stemen would come off the bench making a couple of clutch plays for the Lions and record a double-double for the game with 10 points and 11 Rebounds.
-The Lions would out rebound the Pilots 48 to 43.
