Lions MBB Come Up Short in ACCA National Championship Game
Men’s Basketball Results Trinity Bible College Lions @ ACCA National Tournament ACCA National Championship Game March 4th, 2017 (Ozark Christian College, Joplin, MO) SCORE #1 Rhema Bible College Eagles defeated #3 Trinity Bible College Lions 97-81.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Eagles jumped out to an early 13 point lead 26 to 13 just 8 minutes into the 1st half.
However, the Lions behind some hot shooting were able to battle back and grab a 2 point lead 33 t o31 with 7 minutes left in the half.
The Eagles answered right back and used a 22 to 10 run to take an 8 point lead into halftime.
The Eagles took a 55 to 47 lead into halftime.
The 2nd half saw the Eagles continue to score and the Lions continuing to try to battle back.
The Lions however were unable to keep up with the Eagles as they pulled away in the 2nd half.
The Lions fell to the Eagles 97 to 81.

- The Lions shot 48 percent from the field (32/66), 34 percent on 3's (8/23) and 75 percent on FT's (12/16).
- The Eagles shot 58 percent from the field (39/67), 52 percent on 3's (9/17) and 52 percent on FT's (10/19).

-Senior Aaron Stemen led the Lions in his final game with 28 points and 7 rebounds on 10 for 17 shooting from the field.
-Senior Friscoe Erdahl also in his final game scored 14 points.
-Jamal Williams pitched in 13 points for the Lions.
-Aaron Stemen was named ACCA 1st Team All-American.
-Jamal Williams was named ACCA 2nd Team All-American.
-Aaron Stemen & Korey Harris were namend ACCA Academic All-Americans.
